A new chess game

Look out that SEO...

I agree with this, but SEO is the first discipline that reaches to appear on national news presuming for being the highest paid profession related with web world in Spain. What can we say about it?

SEO is a fraud, totally truth, but it's full of smart people who knows how to make money from nothing... maybe they should be paid for these other skills.

[CS] Less is More

absolute bottle

Sometime ago I talked about infoxication and suggested some kind of massive unfeeding ( I know this term is totally made up): we should be careful with things we read and with authorized information interpreters of us.

In this case it was true: less is more. The less noise between you and the original source of information, the faster you considerate it (or not) and the higher quality communication is.

But, there are some other samples of this simple rule. Here we can see “absolute naked” bottle for “absolute” and no labeling (but labeled) audience: LGTB people.

How do they do it? Removing every unnecessary concept, label, word, phrase or term that segregate and disturb attention and messaging.

Do they got it? I think is a good habit to think about how many things no need to be told explicitly.

We can apply this idea into Content Strategy too, refining the process by deleting any track of excessive text that does not improve the global message by itself.

[UX] Error Messages

GoogleError_0.gif

I always put the same example, but it's because I think that if you have to learn something from someone, is better doing it from the best or at least from the leader, Google Chrome for me.

Here is there user experience once again. Now, we can see it in error messages, a new way to communicate to users beyond the system state status information.

So, what is the lesson learned? the face is personalizing a web browser not a user, because it is not a user mistake but a system one. Obviously, the art pixel contributes to catch the attention... well, don't get confused, main reason is it's strongly cool :) like my smiley.

Translating

This is something that I wanted to do since a lot of time: internationalize this blog. I know I haven't got enought visitors, actually I don't do it for increasing statistics, it's just a question of improving my english written, even having a low level of it.

So, let's try it, let's extend blog scope, maybe I get the posting flow I need.
